Curriculum
 Vitae

My CV documenting my many academic and artistic achievements! (woah). I am a painter currently in my final year of my Fine Art Degree, focusing on researching queer theory, horror, and politics. I am heavily inspired by film, pop culture, and world events, and have a fascination with classic monsters, the abject, and the uncanny. I am looking to gain more exposure and experience in the wider art and film world.

Education

2021-2024

BA Fine Art

Birmingham City University

Grade: TBD

Over 3 years I have continued to develop my technical and research skills; expanding my practice into printmaking, zine making, and sculpture. My main focus throughout has been queer theory, politics, and horror. I have also been presented with many internal exhibition opportunities at the monthly SOA Night School.

2019-2021

Art and Design ADV (Fine Art), Product Design ADV, IT

Paulet 6th Form

Grade: A*, C, Des*

Mostly focusing on refining my ability in painting and drawing, I sent the majority of my time on practical work rather than intensive research. Expressing my love of horror through my work and culminating in a large self portrait in the style of Sam Raimi's Evil Dead 2.

2014-2019

GCSE Art and Design (Fine Art), i-Media, Spanish

Paulet High School

Grade: 9, L2 Des, 5

These early years mostly involved illustration and personal expression. Exploring ideas of drag, gender expression, and idols (both in media and religion).

Exhibitions

20Th Feb 2024

Private show
Secret Space Digbeth

My second instillation of Long Live The New Flesh bringing in new painted and psychical elements. This variation demanded much more space and brough up new industrial themes.

14th Nov 2023

Public show

Secret Space Digbeth

My first iteration of Long Live The New Flesh, with the space and building limitations it was quite small and reserved. However this was the first use of AC ducting, a staple of the project going forwards.

20th Mar 2023

Public show

Stryx Gallery, Minerva Works

This small show featured my work Monsters That Made Me Trans alongside a textile piece, a first for me and unique to this particular show.
